Judo Coaching
Alliance with the Tohkon Judo Academy in Chicago and Coaching
I currently teach Judo as the Head Coach for Juniors at the Tohkon Judo Academy in Chicago, our alliance partner. Teaching the “authentic” JUDO to kids in the US which includes how to enjoy the sport, but also understand the discipline.
My activity includes sending athletes to the Judo Championships (All American Junior, Junior Olympics, President Cup, + other local events) as well as Camps all around USA. I coach them, train them to enhance the level of Judo in the United States.
Junior Coach with USA JUDO
I also serve as the Youth Development Coach for USA JUDO. Identifying athletes with potential and grow them. I find and coach kids that have a potential to be a world class athlete. My target is to coach a medalist for the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics.
Judo Events
GKJN Cup (Chicago Youth Judo Championship)
With cooperation of Tohkon Judo Academy, the 1st GKJN Cup was a success. In June 2022, we gathered 200 kids from 7 midwest states. In the morning session we had Ms. Marti Malloy a US Olympian do a JUDO Clinic, teaching world class techniques to kids. Then in the afternoon, kids participated in a Team Event where they experienced teamwork in Judo, which is a lot of fun. Next year, our plan is to invite athletes of the All Japan Team, expand the scope where kids from all around USA as well as the world can participate.
International Kids Training Camp
The International Kids Training Camp which is an International Exchange Program for Kids is planned and will be executed. The objective is to have kids experience the difference between cultures and values. The first year, 2023, we plan to send kids from USA to Japan, participate in camps in a Dojo in Japan, but also mingle with the kids in Japan (enjoying nature) as a cultural exchange program.
This will follow with kids from Japan visiting USA. Then utilizing my Judo Network, expand this to Europe, Asia, and Latin America and expand this activity globally.
Chicago Judo Top Training Camp (with World Class Instructors)
I have planned a 1 week training camp in Chicago for elite athletes. I plan to invite world champions for this camp. (Planning in 2023)
US Judo Clinic Tour
Starting in Chicago, Illinois, I plan to have a Judo Clinic Caravan in ALL 50 States.
As of July 2022, I have completed 5 states (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Nevada) This will expand to all 50 states. I have marked a STAR on the States that are completed.
Others
U.S. Dojo Networking throughout Mid-west states
We are planning Nationwide Kids Tournament, Kids World Cup etc. cooperating with other regional Judo organization throughout Mid-west region (Chicago), West region (San Jose, L.A), South region (Orlando), East region (N.Y) and so on.
Construction of U.S. – Japan cultural exchange center
We are considering to construct a center including new Dojo in view of cultural exchange and Budo(martial art) interaction between U.S. and Japan.
