It’s been a month since my arrival to Chicago and now enjoying the best time of the year. Continuing my 4 lessons/week at the partner dojo (Tohkon Judo Academy) Initially I was just excited to meet the cute little kids, but now I feel a bit more responsible. I need to make sure that the kids do their best at every lesson, and they go home with confidence that they did. I ask myself with this question too.
My education style still has a lot of room for improvement but I take this positive to push myself even harder. Regardless, the smiles of the kids gives me the best power and relaxation.
- I purchased my first golf clubs in the US. I visited the PGA Tour Superstore (Largest Golf Shop in the US) alone, and made my purchase. Full of enthusiasm and motivation!! (April 21st)
- Fully re-engaged in my training. Started to go to the fitness club I was going last summer. I will train both my body and soul!! (April 23rd)
- Used my days off to take a small trip to Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. With just a 90 minute drive, the scenery dramatically changes!! America is BIG!! (April 24 & 25)
- Had a revenge golf match with JCCC Executives – I was 5 UP at one point and thought it was an easy game, but they cranked it up in the back 9 and ended up halving (draw) the match. I did learn a lesson that it ain’t all that easy. (May 2nd)
- Went and saw an NBA game (which I love) Due to the fact that the United Center did not accept spectators, we drove 1 hour north to Milwaukee. I went to see the Bucks vs Wizards which are still left in the NBA Finals. It was the real deal!! (May 5th)
- Had my 2nd dose of the COVID vaccine. I was a bit scared about the side affects. Had a bit of fever but recovered very quickly. Now I can be comfortable in my activities. (May 12th)
